El Salvador... Washington D.C... Graduating... Leaving the kids...
Wow, I can't believe its been over a month since our last post. We have had so much going on that the past month just flew by! The past week we went to El Salvador which is where Travis served his mission. We went with his mission companion who is one of his best friends, Dallas, and his wife Lizzie and had such a blast with them! It was definately different from the states but it made us so grateful for how blessed we are. We had such an amazing experience seeing people that Travis taught, baptized, and loved during those two years. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the pediatrics ward of the local hospital and giving out dolls and toys to some of the kids. It was incredible. We also got to spend some time on the beach and relax. I will post a slideshow of pics... we took so many! We got home yesterday morning and Travis left at 7 AM this morning for Washington D.C. He is out there for the summer selling alarms for Apex. I'll be meeting him out there in about a month, and even though he just left this morning I already miss him like crazy! We will be out there through the month of August, we are excited that our friends Jamie and Mark will be out there with us too! As exciting as living somewhere else is, its also really really sad for me because it means I have to quit my job. I have been a nanny for Ethan and Ava for the past four years and I love them to pieces! They are such a huge part of my life and I am going to miss them so much!!! I just graduated from UVSC and so once we get back to Utah I will be looking for a "real job"... I love those two so much that being with them seems like anything but a job!! It seems like this month is so full of changes, but thats just a part of life I guess. As hard as some of these changes may be, Travis and I are excited to see what the future holds!!!
This little girl adores Travis!! She cried when he left :(
Some of the sweet people of El Salvador.
One of the little girls at the hospital... it just broke my heart to leave.
Yeah! You finally posted something. That's so awesome you got to see Travis' mission. D.C.? That's only about 2 hours from us! We're planning on going there sometime this summer. We'll have to meet up! I'll let you know.
Looks like you kids had a fun time! And how neat is it to be able to be a part of your husbands life of his life before you. Did that make sense? Anyway, that is amazing! Get your butt down here and stay at my house while your hubby is away!
Hey! I'm glad you left comment on my blog! It's so fun to hear from people you haven't seen or talked to in a while! That is SO aweseome you are going to DC! I lived there last year, well actually I lived in VA which was 15 minutes away, and it was SO much fun! I LOVED it there and miss it so much! We are in St. Louis now and I like a lot here too! It's so fun to travel and see different places huh? You'll love it! Let me know how you like it and how things are going out there! Good Luck!
It looks like you guys had a fantastic time in El Salvador. You're SO lucky you already got to go back as a couple to his mission. Beau has been wanting to take me back to Ecuador SO bad! I can't wait till we can actually go. I guess we've got to cut back on having children so we can squeeze in a trip to Ecuador without me being pregnant:)
We were married on February 1, 2008 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Our precious Taiya was born on August 1, 2009. We are so excited to be moving forward together and get to share our special moments with you all. We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends!
