Even more Hawaii pictures

Here are some more pictures from what we have been up to...

Taiya loves the sand

I was in the shower one night and I walked out to find this (they were watching tv)... I laughed so hard... Ha.
Like father, like daughter.

Hanging out on Waikiki

We were walking under lots of tiki torches that were lit and Taiya had this adorable look of total amazement on her face

As close to surfing as we got on this trip

People looked at us like we were crazy whenever us girls went anywhere with all the kids, we were a train of strollers. This night we were walking around in Waikiki while we waited for the guys to finish working and meet up with us so we could go out to dinner. These are the cute kids of Lisa & Ben- Audrey (left), Taiya (middle), and Brittney & Todd- Gaige (right).

Out to dinner at our favorite place

Dinner on the beach at Duke's.

Taiya's eyelashes have gotten so long!

Sleepy little girl. It is so hot that during the day when we are at home she just wears a diaper. The only reason she has a blanket on is because it makes her feel cozy, she cannot sleep without one.

Visiting Pearl Harbor at the USS Arizona Memorial

I sure love this little girl.

Trav sure loves his little girl. This is on the ferry over to the memorial.

She has to have something to cuddle with when she sleeps.

More Hawaii pictures

We are still here in Hawaii and having an incredible time. We miss everyone at home but we will see you soon!

Beach baby

We went to visit the Dole Pineapple Plantation, which was not that exciting, but we still made the most of it and had fun! It's more of a place to go with little kids... like 2-6 year olds but our friends had a two year old and so it ended up being perfect for him cause he loved the train!

Ummmm... being dumb

Enjoying our pineapple whip (aka pineapple ice cream)

We drove along the north shore and stopped at a few places to eat and at Sunset beach to play...

We stopped and got shrimp from the famous shrimp truck Giovanni's. People write their names all over the truck to show that they were there.

The waves at Sunset Beach were crazy!!! This picture totally doesn't do them justice, they were huge.

Enjoying the sunset together

Audrey and Taiya have gotten to be good buds. We both laughed when we walked out of our rooms that morning and the girls were in matching outfits, just different colors. Ha. Can you believe that Audrey is 3 months OLDER than Taiya???

Trav playing in the waves... this is the littlest by far the waves were the whole time out there. A lifeguard actually came up to the guys and told them that they didn't have "the right equipment" to be out there because the waves and the current were so strong.

Sunset from the back of our house

There is a restaurant right on Waikiki Beach called Duke's that we absolutely love! We have been there several times! Here is a picture from the beach looking up towards Duke's.

Aloha.... from Oahu!

I mentioned in an earlier post that we are currently out of state... well we are actually in Hawaii right now. Trav had the opportunity to come out here to work for a few weeks and Taiya and I got to tag along. We are staying on Oahu and LOVING the sunshine, the beach, and being able to be with Trav. Little Taiya has been such a champ with adjusting to all the changes, she has become quite the little beach bum. She loves feeling the sand between her toes and dangling her chubby little legs in the waves. Trav has been working so hard, I am so proud of him! Thanks love for working so hard so I can be a stay at home mom. I feel so blessed right now to have such a wonderful husband and sweet little girl AND to be here in beautiful Hawaii. Here are some pictures from the beginning of our stay out here...

Taiya's first airplane ride... waiting in the airport before the flight. We flew from SLC to Portland and from Portland to Oahu. Taiya slept through most of both flights!

This is the beach house we are staying in while we are here. This is the view from the back. It sits right on the ocean... if you jump over those green bushes you are literally in the ocean!

This is the view from sitting in the living room looking out the back...

This is Taiya's first time going to the beach. After coating her in sunscreen I put her in the sling carrier and off we went...

She loved the beach so much that she was just exhausted after.

Before we left for Hawaii I bought this cool little tent to use with Taiya at the beach. It seriously has been one of the best purchases ever. I use it every day for her to nap in cause its so hot here (and we have NO AIR CONDITIONING which apparently is totally normal for houses over here) and so I have her sleep in here either outside or right inside by all the screen doors so she can get some air flow to help keep her cool. This is a picture of our daily routine (well at least on days when Taiya wants to cooperate and take an nap)... Taiya takes a nap and I get to lay out and enjoy the sunshine!

Those of you that have been to Hawaii before have probably had a world famous snow cone from Matsumoto's...

One of our first adventures was to head to Matsumoto's for a snow. Here is Danny, Trav, and Ice getting ready to order.

Enjoying our snow cones. And yes they were totally worth it... world famously yummy!

Then we headed over to Waimea to get some beach time in. Here is Trav dipping Taiya's toes in the water to cool her off!

Trav, Ice, and Danny at Waimea

Taiya loves the feeling of the sand on her toes. No matter how many times I put her little foot back in the tent she would wiggle and kick until she could get it back out so she could touch the sand. Now we just know if we want a happy baby we better make sure she can feel the sand with at least one foot!

The boys playing in the water

Me & little missy... notice she is not looking at the camera EVER this day, it was so bright outside!

Gorgeous view from the beach

It is so different going places and doing things with a baby, not that I would change it for the world, but it definately makes doing things "together" much more challenging. Trav and I took turns sitting on the beach with Taiya and swimming. But Danny was so sweet to offer to watch Taiya for us so we could go swimming together for a bit... it was great... thanks Danny!

We also went to this way cute ice cream place that has homeade ice cream and waffle cones... and yes it was delicious!!!
