Pregnant!!!

We just want to announce that Baby Thompson is on its way!! The baby is due on July 30th. We are very excited and are looking forward to this holding this precious little one that we have already come to love in our arms. I feel so blessed for all that I have been given and for the trust that Heavenly Father has put in us as future parents to love and help guide this child through his or her life. We can't wait!

P.S. So many of you have made your blogs private and it makes me so sad cause I have no way of catching up on how your doing! Please send me an invite or else send me your email address so I can request an invitation!!!

My amazing husband surprised me a couple weeks ago with a mini vacation. On a Thursday night, Travis gave me the sweetest letter and told me that we were going to stay at a hotel downtown and just relax and have a special weekend together. We had such a great time! He even toughed it out and missed part of the BYU game so we could go see the lights at temple square. He is so good to me!

Pumpkin Carving & Halloween

I love fall. I HATE HATE HATE the cold weather. I am definately not ready for snow yet. It shouldn't snow until AFTER Thanksgiving if I had any say. Fall has come and gone too fast. I love the smell of fall and wearing fall clothes that have been pushed to the back of your closet for months. Its not too hot to wear jeans but you still don't need a jacket. I love the leaves changing and I love the holidays!!!!!!!!!! I think Halloween is so much fun. The week before Halloween all of my family and extended family- cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and even some second cousins get together to carve pumpkins. Its such a fun tradition. Travis hasn't carved pumpkins since he was 12 he claims, so I'm sure this was a pretty life altering event for him. Ha. Anyways it was a blast but the best part is when they put candles in all the pumpkins and then turn out the lights! It was the perfect way to get us in a Halloweeny mood. The next night was Halloween and I know, its lame to admit, but we didn't dress up. We went out to dinner with some of our good friends and then went and watched the scariest movie ever. And yes... I did have nightmares. I think travis thoroughly enjoyed making the most of my terror. He used it against me every chance he got. I know what a punk. Here are some pictures...

Visiting Grandma & Grandpa Feld

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Travis I went to Aberdeen, Idaho last weekend to visit my Grandma & Grandpa Feld. Aberdeen is where my dad grew up and where my grandparents still live. We really enjoyed visiting them and hearing about lots of stories of when they grew up. I had no idea my grandpa accidently burnt his house down when he was 4 years old and then saved his two little sisters! I loved hearing their stories! I spent lots of time with them while I was growing up and now that life is so busy its been much harder to get up there to visit and so I have really missed them. I treasure my time there because I don't get to see them much and since they are over 90 years old now, I don't want to take any time for granted. My grandpa was so cute to show Travis everything about farm life- he wanted to make sure he got the whole experience in. We had a great time and we love them both so much!

Missing the kids

For those of you who didn't know but I was the nanny for a family for about 4 years. I started watching their little boy, Ethan when he was about 8 months old. Ava was born about a year later. I absolutely love those two to pieces. When I graduated this past April and then left a month later to go to D.C. I had to quit the greatest job in the world. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, I missed them so much! But once we got back their parents have been so good to "share" and let us take the kids every few weeks! They came and had a sleepover at our house- we built a fort for them to sleep in, watch movies and ate lots of popcorn and candy, spent the day at the park, went to the pet store, and had lots and lots of fun! Both the kids adore Travis and he sure adores them back! It was great to get to play and spend lots of time together. I sure miss all the giggles and cuddles that I use to get every day but we tried to make up for it over the weekend. We had a great time and are so thankful that we are able to still be a part of their lives!

How in the heck?

Can someone please help me! ERRRRR! For the life of me I cannot figure out how to add that thing to your blog where it shows when your friends update their blogs. I want to know when someone added a new post. Anyone know??? I would SOOOO GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. Thanks a million!

Getting some fresh air

Wow... I am still so far behind! Trav and I went camping with my family over Labor Day weekend this year. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest, it was still so nice to get away and have some family time. Makki even had fun too, she had an excuse to roll around in the dirt without getting in trouble! Trav even went paintballing. All of my cousins and some of my uncles love to paintball- they go every time while we are camping. They take it pretty serious! Ha. Trav was a good sport and went, although I'm sure he didn't mind when they got rained out. We are so glad we were able to go, since we missed out on all the other camping trips while we were gone this summer!
