Missing the kids

For those of you who didn't know but I was the nanny for a family for about 4 years. I started watching their little boy, Ethan when he was about 8 months old. Ava was born about a year later. I absolutely love those two to pieces. When I graduated this past April and then left a month later to go to D.C. I had to quit the greatest job in the world. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, I missed them so much! But once we got back their parents have been so good to "share" and let us take the kids every few weeks! They came and had a sleepover at our house- we built a fort for them to sleep in, watch movies and ate lots of popcorn and candy, spent the day at the park, went to the pet store, and had lots and lots of fun! Both the kids adore Travis and he sure adores them back! It was great to get to play and spend lots of time together. I sure miss all the giggles and cuddles that I use to get every day but we tried to make up for it over the weekend. We had a great time and are so thankful that we are able to still be a part of their lives!

How in the heck?

Can someone please help me! ERRRRR! For the life of me I cannot figure out how to add that thing to your blog where it shows when your friends update their blogs. I want to know when someone added a new post. Anyone know??? I would SOOOO GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. Thanks a million!

Getting some fresh air

Wow... I am still so far behind! Trav and I went camping with my family over Labor Day weekend this year. Even though the weather wasn't the greatest, it was still so nice to get away and have some family time. Makki even had fun too, she had an excuse to roll around in the dirt without getting in trouble! Trav even went paintballing. All of my cousins and some of my uncles love to paintball- they go every time while we are camping. They take it pretty serious! Ha. Trav was a good sport and went, although I'm sure he didn't mind when they got rained out. We are so glad we were able to go, since we missed out on all the other camping trips while we were gone this summer!

I have the sweetest husband in the whole world! He has absolutely spoiled me over the past month. The day he got home from D.C. he surprised me with a brand new camera! One of our buddies had a way nice camera when we went to NY and he let me use it and I loved it. I wanted one so bad but I figured it would be some time til I got one... like three years or so. But no, my adorable husband decided to buy me one anyways. He bought me a Canon Rebel XT and I LOVE IT! Thank you so much Trav. I have been having so much fun learning how to use it.. too much fun according to Trav. I have to admit I have been a little extra picture crazy lately, those of you that know me well, already know that I LOVE taking pictures. Well its about 10 times that bad now. Ha! Poor Travis. So if you notice an increase in pictures on our blog thats why!!! Also, we sold my Mazda3 back in August and so I had been driving Trav's car until he got home. We shared a car for a couple weeks, which was definately not ideal but we survived. I don't know how some people get by with one car, it amazes me. Anyways we finally bought a Murano a couple weeks ago and we love love LOVE it! Its such a fun car to drive. About a week later, I wrecked Travis's Ford Fusion. Now we are back to sharing a car. NOT FUN! Right now it is a few hundred dollars away from being totalled, we should find out tomorrow if they are going to repair it or just total it. We have our fingers crossed that it is totalled, especially since Travis really really wants a new car. Who knows. We will just have to wait and see!!

Brookie was my buddy all week!

Travis's family goes to Bear Lake every year for a week. They stay in this amazing cabin and spend the week boating, laying on the beach, four-wheeling, playing games, watching movies, sitting in the sauna, and just hanging out! Last year Travis and I had an amazing time together, even though we had just started dating. Who would have thought? Ha. I can't believe a year has gone by already, so much has happened. We had another incredible time together this year at Bear Lake. Here are some memorable moments...
